Laura Viana da Silva | Make-up Artist & Hair Stylist


Laura Viana da Silva is a professional make-up artist and hair stylist from England, with 20 years of experience, working on top feature films with many famous actors, glossy magazines, BBC dramas & worldwide television including commercials for Mc Donalds, Nintendo, Renault, Vodaphone, Microsoft, Suzuki, KFC and many more. She has worked with some of the best photographers from all over the world, including New York, LA, Hong Kong, Lisbon, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and even with the photographer son of the owner of the surf clothing company ‘Rip Curl’ for Cleo magazine based in Sydney, Australia.

Laura has recently finished working on the 1st & 2nd season of Da Vinci’s Demons and also works in London, and is currently working on the new remake of ‘Poldark’ for primetime BBC tv.  She works in many UK cities and abroad, for commercials and photoshoots with many of the world’s top companies. With MAC Cosmetics, Paul Mitchell hair and Dermalogica Skincare products support for every fashion/beauty editorial that is published.

Throughout the vast experience of her career, Laura has worked with all skin tones, ages, theatrical, prosthetics, HD film and is equally proficient with hair, wigs and facial postiche. All the work is here on this site and also a CV of professional TV/film work and major clients.

Graduating from the London College of Fashion, with a HND Diploma in Specialist Make-up, that at the time was thought to be the best place to study make-up in Europe, she started off working on the Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty’s Theatre and went on to be the Make-up supervisor of the 2 year UK tour when she was just 26 years old – she and many of her collegues went on to work in the film and fashion industry.
She has an agent in Lisbon, Portugal and São Paulo, Brazil.
